After a public hearing, the Board of Supervisors accepted the Land Use and Community Character Element as presented in the June 10, 2009 Final Draft 2030 Countywide General Plan, and Attachments F and G, with changes as indicated by Board input regarding Policies LU-2.3, LU-6.11(f) and CC-3.12 (see below), and excepting the land use designations for Covell/Pole Line, Elkhorn, Esparto/Deterding Property, Spreckels, Monument Hills.
Page LU-18, Policy LU-2.3 – Modify this policy to include the following text:
Prohibit the division of land in an agricultural area if the division is for non-agricultural purposes and/or if the result of the division will be parcels that are infeasible for farming. Projects related to clustering and/or transfers of development rights are considered to be compatible with agriculture.
Page LU-25, Policy LU-6.11(f) – Modify this policy to include the following text:
The possibility of commercial and mixed uses at Covell Boulevard/Pole Line Road and the possibility of coordinated planning with the Hunt Wesson site.
